Description de l'offre

We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) for a postdoctoral position in Quantum Control of Nuclear Spins in Silicon Carbide, a highly innovative area in quantum technology research. This role involves translating theoretical stateoftheart protocols into experimental applications, with the aim of advancing quantum memories and processors using nuclear spin qubits. The successful candidate will work on cuttingedge technology in quantum materials and contribute to major European and national projects such as the Quantum Technology Flagship and QuantERA. Mission and Key Responsibilities As part of the Quantum Materials Group, your role will involve: Applying optimal control techniques to maximize the fidelity and number of controllable nuclear spins in silicon carbide. Implementing novel spin control techniques to accelerate nuclear spin qubit control. Translating theoretical quantum control protocols into experimental setups, ensuring the successful application of these protocols in the lab. Reading, interpreting, and analyzing graphs and measurement results to assess spin dynamics and control fidelity, and to propose adapted measurement sequences. Cosupervising PhD candidates and contributing to their development. Participating in and contributing to national and European research projects in the field of quantum technologies. Required Profile Educational Background and Experience: PhD in physics, quantum technology, materials science, or electronic engineering. Handson experience in experimentally controlling spin in solids via microwaves and radiofrequency is mandatory. Experience with optimal control techniques and translating theoretical protocols into experiments is highly desirable. Scientific and Technical Skills: Expertise in controlling nuclear and electron spins in the solid. Ability to work on optimal control techniques to improve qubit operations. As a plus: Experience with controlling single colour centres in solids. Soft and Behavioral Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively present research findings and collaborate with team members. Strong collaborative abilities and initiative to work within interdisciplinary teams. Organizational skills to manage your research while also cosupervising PhD candidates. Ability to effectively coordinate with supervisors and external project collaborators. Why Join This Project? Be part of pioneering research on quantum technologies in collaboration with leading European and national projects. Access to stateoftheart laboratories and facilities within an internationally recognized research institution. Benefit from a multicultural and inclusive work environment with opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Enjoy flexible working hours, 32 days of paid leave, a 13month salary, and other competitive benefits. How to Apply Submit your application, which must include: A detailed motivation letter oriented towards the position and highlighting your relevant experience. Your scientific CV with contact details. A list of publications (and patents, if applicable). Contact details for at least one reference. Applications will be continuously reviewed until the position is filled. This is a unique opportunity to advance your research in quantum technologies while being part of a highimpact international research environment.
